Being a gym-goer for roughly 5 years, I thought I knew what I was doing in the gym. I joined Chris 12 weeks ago, and it has taught me I actually knew very little. The knowledge he has is incredible! Learning how to lift correctly with the right form had helped massively as I always had lower back pain when I went to the gym in previous years. This has completely gone now!
Chris quickly made me realise that there are other factors to feeling good about yourself and your happiness shouldn't be determined by a number on the scale. I've focused on improving sleep, nutrition, self-care and training in the gym and am now feeling incredible and growing more confident as time goes on
Before I started with Chris I lacked structure and accountability. Although I felt confident in the gym I was just winging it and hoping for the best. I never saw any improvement and would just get fed up and would stop going to the gym which would frustrate me. I also lacked balance when it came to food and was in a constant cycle of restricting food and then binge eating which ultimately led to me putting on more weight. I was totally unhappy mentally and with how I looked. Having Chris as a coach has been the best investment in myself that I could have made and I am so grateful.
Now that I've been with you for 5 months, I just wish I had started sooner. It has been one of the best decisions I have made for myself ever. Once I started, it wasn't long until my confidence and knowledge increased, you've taught me the correct form of using the machines and equipment, and what muscles they were working, and my injury pain has completely disappeared. The physical changes in a short period of time are amazing and I've never felt so good about myself. I am confident in the gym and what I do, my sleep is much better and I feel great.
The last few months have been a proper journey for me, sounds cheesy but it’s true! I’ve learned so much from you in such a short space of time but I know I still have so much to learn. I feel like I am in control of what I want to achieve and I don’t feel like I’ve had to dramatically change my life to do get there. Going to the gym and my classes have become such a huge part of my life and it’s so important to me now as I know how it makes me feel.
Within the last 15 weeks, Chris has helped me develop healthy habits better understanding of nutrition & training, and my mental & physical strength has increased. However, holding myself accountable & learning that non-scale victories are just as important. My obsession with the scales has gone through Chris’ education. I’m now at a stage where my relationship with carbs is enjoyable. I’ve had nothing but compliments since starting with Chris. I’ve had my glow and confidence back, becoming happier within myself and being the best version for my sons and family.
Since meeting Chris I have gained the confidence to go to the gym on my own and not feel intimidated or like I’m being watched or judged. Having him as a coach means I stick to my diet, eat better foods that benefit me and my body and now have the education I never knew I needed about food/calories/nutrition. He is very in touch with mental health and is very big on his clients learning and talking about it, which I find very important & inspiring.
3 months, 12 weeks, 90 days; theoretically it can seem a long time, but life can pass you by if you stand still and before you know it you blink and you’ve not moved, you’ve been stuck in the same place. However, over the last 3 months, I’ve made one of the most drastic changes to my lifestyle, to the point where I’ve become a new person.
It’s not just the 2 PT sessions per week that help, it’s the motivating videos he sends, the check-ins he sends weekly and the way he makes it easier for you to see the progress you are making when you are struggling to see how well you are doing. I have felt my strength, stamina, confidence and self-belief skyrocket since starting my PT sessions with Chris.
When I first started going to Chris I wasn’t great mentally or physically. I wasn’t comfortable in my own body and didn’t know how to change that. After being with Chris my confidence has increased and I am the most comfortable I have ever been in my body. The change Chris has helped make for me has been that amazing it has inspired me to go to college and become a trainer as well. His knowledge is great and he will always do the best for his clients.
